History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. A freak accident while working with his Soapmaker father left him crippled. He has recently attracted an admirer that believes he's playing hard to get.

Motivation: He is a bit of a kleptomaniac; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions

Personality: He will use flattery and sarcasm to attack and weaken his opponents. Despite his formidable combat skills he remains a coward. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of brigands may trigger it at times.

History: He was born at the edge of vast mountains. At a young age his mother died while driving off some brigands. His father being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train him in rapier use. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Rurik fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: A deep hatred of brigands; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by brigands, and he desires to right it
