He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Valorean was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the dire rats.

Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. He has achieved small success as a Locksmith.
