History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his father. Ostracized due to the martial powers of his oldest brother, he and his siblings struck out on their own. History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Snafû alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it
