History: Balam lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He's also a talented Bellfounder, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion; and wants to raise his children well

This search led him directly into Body Guard work with an outfit from a few towns over. Body Guard work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.
