History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the west. While he appears to be a normal Elf, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: He is irascible and easily irritated. The war was a terrible time for him, and River does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

River was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
