History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Darrow was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: He has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help

History: He comes from a rich northern family. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Tabaxis in Smoking's homeland. Smoking decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.
