Description: He stands about 5'10" and is bundled in multiple layers and is prepared for a desert trek wearing a turban that covers his face most of the time. His right leg appears badly burned and disfigured. His blonde hair has been sun bleached extensively. His hazel eyes are desperate and heavily dilated. He has the appearance of someone under the heavy influence of drugs.
Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Bertram embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He is a bit of a macho man and will challenge people to random contests of strength and skill, and invite them to random hunting and fishing trip.
History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the island to a summer home near a large cave. He would wander through that large cave and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the island due to the painful memories there. Bertram took refuge in the large cave and found the beat up longsword and armor he uses now. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.
Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever.

Description: This man is moderately tanned and has just the faintest trace of an accent. He wears rags and sports a simple walking cane. His fur is red and curly. He has a dull look in his green eyes.
Personality: Sun speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. He is clearly well-traveled and educated. He is a ruthless business man, a trait he acquired from his father.
History: Born to a Bookbinder, his father struggled to pay the bills. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.
Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Detective responsibilities is difficult; and he wants revenge against giants

Description: A thin man, he clearly needs to put on some weight, but he still has a lot of muscle. He wears tight fitting clothing which further accentuates his frame. His brown hair is thinning but still full. This green eyed northerner is not easily forgotten.
Personality: A rambunctious noisy drunk he knows how to make people feel guilty. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.
History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Nim fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
Motivation: An old rival family wants him found; and doesn't want to be a ruler and was forced into it by his family

Description: This fat western man has a bulbous nose and wears a simple white robe with grey stripes complete with hood. His skin is also unnaturally pale. He has moderate length auburn hair. He has blue eyes and a white hat with a grey feather.
Personality: He's a bit of a prankster. He knows he is clumsy and seen as such and will often feign amnesia after injury. He uses divination through singing.
History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. After coming to the age of reason, Shágflak took it upon himself to study the martial arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
Motivation: To get a good night's sleep; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help
