History: Shane was raised in a hard working conservative environment. In his 19th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Laborer. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Motivation: He desires power and/or immortality; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions

He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He is very protective of his business, his home, and his spouse. He is willing to work with less than legal methods but maintains the front of legitimacy.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Through the years after Howard was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Howard's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has never given up on his writing dream.

Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: Euron lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Euron grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Euron. He became a Tanner soon after.

Motivation: Marry his sister to traveling adventurers.

History: Born in the north to a Sailor, Flame learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. In his 12th year, his parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Flame alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Sailor for hire.

Motivation: To end his boredom; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge
