Personality: He is extraordinarily passive and rarely speaks, let alone speaks his mind. He also has developed a complete distrust of the Butcher profession.

History: Everard was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and he has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day

History: His psionic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. His parents enrolled him in a Paladin school at a young age so that he could practice his psionic talents. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.
