History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. As a young child he wandered into the woods despite his father's warnings against it. Afterwards he claimed he had encountered giants who tried to eat his hand. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Paymon lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Tiefling conditions. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and marry his brother to traveling adventurers
