History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. Description: This younger middle-aged man wears a fancy brown suit, and a wedding ring on his left hand. He wears a Stetson hat to cover his moderate length brown hair. His hazel eyes have a joyful gleam in them most of the time.

Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Umpen isn't afraid of most anything. He has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Gnomish unity. He is kind towards other men and children and will generally offer men help without question. Others will generally need to prove themselves to him.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. Some 4 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Umpen never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his father had trained him before.
