History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. He found a children's book about a Halfling Monk who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

History: He was born into a rich family. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Tieflings in the north were limited. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it; and he is greedy
