History: Adam lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. In his formative years he discovered how persuasive he was. He began using that to his advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Afterwards he claimed he had encountered gnolls who tried to eat his hand. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.
