History: Veit hails from a village terrorized by orcs. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by orcs. Veit was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the orcs.

Motivation: Many orcs want him driven away; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by orcs, and he desires to right it

Through the years after Rangrim was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Rangrim's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.
