History: He was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family As a very small child his family refused to pay dues to a local crime lord, who ordered them killed. His mother, a somewhat powerful mage sought to protect him and cast a teleportation spell that whisked him away. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Motivation: He is terrified, and will act out of fear; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Erevan grew up listening to his mother's many stories. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Scribe for the past few years.
