History: Nicholas hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. At some point he was captured by gnolls and was tortured. After several years of this he finally managed to escape. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Personality: He is a jovial happy person, but he is convinced people are living their lives too quickly. He cannot resist a sob story and will often dote over anyone who has one.

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. His mother took him hunting and taught him how to get in the mind of other creatures. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Description: An older man who wears loose pants and a collared shirt complete with sweater beneath his coat, he is not a threatening figure. With a patchy white beard and wild white hair. His eyes are a pleasant blue.

Personality: Always inclined to offer people food he seems plenty friendly. He invites people to come help in his community garden.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Bertram grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Bertram. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: He has passion for adventuring and risk; and he is a bit of a kleptomaniac

Description: A pudgy man standing about 5'6" has a big stupid grin on his face most of the time. He is typically in his Slave Trader uniform. He wears a top hat to hide his balding. His face is full, his cheeks are rosy, and he always seems to sport a perfect smile and a twinkle in his amber eyes.

Personality: Sun hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his painting career. He is a thrill seeker, he laughs at people and throws down challenges. He is highly competitive and combative.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Slave Trader work with an outfit from a few towns over. Slave Trader work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.
