Personality: He is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. The war was a terrible time for him, and Valafar does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the west. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: He loathes his own lifestyle; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Naal was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His mother was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and he feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Adelard was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Dyer. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.
