History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. A freak accident while working with his Courier mother left him crippled. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Dilettante hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

History: He comes from a rich northern family. He always admired druidic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.
