Personality: Qualen wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Adept, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... He has a cruel streak; something he gained from his previous mentor. He harbors resentment against his former mentor.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Qualen was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, he has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. He loves his children and doesn't want them to worry about him. He loves to share his singing with anyone who is interested.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and his religion dominates his actions

Personality: He likes to fabricate stories about his past exploits and how crazy he is, but in actuality he is rather bland. His philosophy is that everyone needs a friend and as such shows hospitality towards all.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. A few years later when the west was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.
