History: Eberk was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. He has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. After a long history of fighting, Eberk and his spouse have recently divorced.

Faran was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. In his formative years he discovered how persuasive he was. He began using that to his advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the east.
