Personality: He is inclined to make off color jokes and interpret anything that could be construed as such as innuendo. A fanatic, his devotion to his small selection of gods is unquestionable. He claims to be doing their will and will base all his actions on whether or not they would be pleasing to the gods.
History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his father. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Body Guard for the past few years.
Motivation: To protect his home; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

Description: He is generally shirtless and showing off his tattooed chest. He is portly but not overly obese. He has a very tight haircut. His blue eyes peer out from beneath his broad black hat.
Personality: He loves telling others what to do and how they should feel about things. The war was a terrible time for him, and Darrak does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.
History: When he was but 3 years old his parents immigrated from the north. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Darrak grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Darrak. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.
Motivation: To get a good night's sleep; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

Description: This northern man's face is deformed and paralyzed on one side. As such, he slurs his words together. He wears a brown tunic with white highlights, and long tan pants that bunch up around his shoes. He wears his white hair up. He wears large thick round spectacles.
Personality: He is irascible and easily irritated. Despite his manner, he is extremely passionate and proud of his job, and he prides himself in being thorough and never missing a detail.
History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.
Motivation: To end his boredom; and he seems to be bored by most things

Description: He is of a modest build and height, but he carries himself more imposing than he is. He has a large black mantle and cape that has been intricately interwoven into his pastel robe. He has shaved his head bald. He is baby faced.
Personality: He is fixated on the number 79. He counts his steps and bites of food to keep in track with it. He seems to be used to being ignored and not questioned about it. He lacks moral complications. He does what he is told to by employers but not much else. He spends his money on whatever he fancies at the time.
History: He got into the Cook business at a young age. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He has worked as a Cook like his mother before him.
Motivation: A deep hatred of illithids; and many illithids want him driven away
