History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Thervan fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by brigands, and he desires to right it

Personality: Here is a man who knows he is the smartest in the room. He talks down to others constantly. Around other people he will do his best to conceal his emotions and appear jolly.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Alston grew up listening to his father's many stories. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Alston grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Alston. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.
