History: He got into the Carter business at a young age. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. History: Shifting was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. His arcane abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and he has decided he is irredeemable
