He has taken up work as a Cartwright and fed both sides of the war false information with the goal of increasing casualties.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Mercenary arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Baern was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. In his 15th year, his parents were killed by a orcs raid, leaving Baern alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of freemasons.
