History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Jeweler hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: Paelias hails from a village terrorized by orcs. He married young, but lost his spouse to orcs. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: A deeply religious man he believes everything happens for a reason. He tends to be very friendly, and is drawn to music, the smells of food and wine, and out-door festivals.

History: He comes from a rich eastern family. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. He now mingles about in high society.
