His mother taught him the rudiments of the Bookbinder arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Carpenter. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.
