History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Dragonborns in Nithther's homeland. Nithther decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge
