When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Shoemaker hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has dedicated himself to building a better kind of golem.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He moved out east to avoid the crime he committed. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Motivation: He possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Oppleby was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Oppleby was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Courier for hire.
