Description: He is a paragon of his species. He is larger and stronger than most Halflings. His skin is dark but he possesses many tan ritualistic tattoos. He is wearing a perfectly clean shirt and pair of pants. His white hair is lengthy and is close to two feet long. His otherwise smooth face is marked with small tiny scars.

Personality: He goes out his way to put a smile on everyone's face. There's no-one he won't accept into his heart. The war was a terrible time for him, and Howard does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the east. In his 13th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Howard alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and many dire rats want him driven away

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes drow are coming to abduct people. He is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his mother. As a young child he wandered into the woods despite his mother's warnings against it. Afterwards he claimed he had encountered drow who tried to eat his hand. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and he wants revenge against drow

Description: What flesh remains visible is marred by burns. He is wearing a long, tan, dusty cloak. His fur is lavender and curly. His face is covered beneath a completely black helmet.

Personality: He resents people who mock his appearance or him, so he has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. He is susceptible to being scared and is in actuality easily frightened. He likes to tell stories.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Junk Dealer. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Motivation: He is terrified, and will act out of fear; and he's in love

Description: A man with a warm, jovial air about him, he is typically in his Guard uniform. He sports a flattop hair cut. He has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. He wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: In the realm of puns, he cannot help himself. He feels obliged to make them. He will often invite strangers home for dinner and talk their ears off. He cares deeply for his spouse and does his best to make sure his guests look presentable.

History: A powerful wizard made him what he is. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern.
