Description: An older man who has the majority of his body covered in plate, he is not a threatening figure. His hair is chestnut and curly. His gray eyes lackadaisically let the world flow into them.

Personality: Ulblyn hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his writing career. As he has aged he has sought to do reparations for his actions as a youth. He is also making sure that his compatriots who never received punishment for their crimes are brought to justice.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Ulblyn was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Motivation: He will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact; and seeks redemption

Personality: He is enamored with his job. He loves it. He likes the challenge and he likes helping those less fortunate than him. He is frequently practicing swordplay.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. His childhood dream was to be a Baker, but he was a colossal failure. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Expand his business; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

Personality: He is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help his friends. He considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. He also hits on women, regardless of circumstances.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when orcs swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He's attracted to the PC; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by orcs, and he desires to right it

Description: He wears a shirt and pants that are bristling with pockets overflowing with maps, compasses, and other navigational equipment. He carries a battered greataxe and tarnished whip as well. His silver hair is greasy and uncared for. His brown eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He is a ruthless business man, a trait he acquired from his mother.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. After a long history of fighting, Bernard and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC; and retire the richest man in the north
