History: Born to a Shoemaker, his father struggled to pay the bills. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He was granted necromantic powers by his dying brother.

History: Varis was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Adept, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Adept in service of a powerful lord somewhere. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it.
