Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Varis isn't afraid of most anything. He has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Half-Elven unity. He would rather hide behind his crafts than deal with other people.

History: Varis was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Cleric, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Cleric in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He took after his mother in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his mother taught him to defend himself. When his mother died while fighting illithids, the young Kerkad began to lead the lost caravan. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: A deep hatred of illithids; and many illithids want him driven away

Personality: He has a good heart but also a terrible temper. He will forgive often but not before yelling and berating someone for whatever they have done wrong. He keeps company with all sorts of races to see how they think and challenge minds foreign to his own.

History: He comes from a rich eastern family. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Performer.
