History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Godfrey's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. Some 2 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Godfrey never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his father had trained him before.

His mother taught him the rudiments of the Map Maker arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. In his formative years he discovered how persuasive he was. He began using that to his advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. Being a Shipwright kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.
