History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

Some 9 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Grumbar never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.
