History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Through the years after Soveliss was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Soveliss's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Gargax was raised in a hard working conservative environment. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
