History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His parents were killed by illithids in a raid when he was still a young child. The illithids captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

History: A child with a great deal of painting talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. His family was turned out during the war. He and his family wandered west to less war torn lands. After a long history of fighting, Uthemar and his spouse have recently divorced.

He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. Some 10 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Barakas never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.
