History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the plains to a summer home near a ruined castle. He would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the plains due to the painful memories there. Nelkin took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up quarterstaff and armor he uses now. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Description: He is a physically imposing dark-skinned man. He wears an old set of leather armor, nicked and torn by the ravages of time and battle. His red hair is cut short with large spiked bangs in the front. He is missing an eye and his face is severely sunburned. His one remaining eye shines violet.

Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Recently a tribe of drow attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Raer fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
