She was regularly beaten by her mother, who blamed her for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Jane and her spouse have recently divorced.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. She has since lost track of the people in her past.
