His actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as he answers to a power that mortal men fail to acknowledge.

History: John hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. In his 16th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving John alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He saw the violence of war and the aftermath so he converted to religion and dedicated himself to non-violence.

She keeps company with all sorts of races to see how they think and challenge minds foreign to her own.

History: She was born in the north. Being born in the north, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the north for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way east. She has been saving her money to try and buy her brother's freedom.

Motivation: She will attempt to ambush and attack anyone she thinks she can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, she will try to sell them to her slave-trader contact; and an old rival family wants her found
