History: Gerald was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Paladin, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Paladin in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He found a children's book about a Human Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

He has some compunction and patriotism and will work for the government before all other clients.

History: Born in the south to a Dyer, Godfrey learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. Through the years after Godfrey was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Godfrey's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Brewer they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Body Guard, and he later adopted a second son.
