History: Bertram was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Paladin, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Paladin in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Tanner. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

History: Born to a Sailor, his father struggled to pay the bills. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Human conditions. He struck the Tanner job and began his own company from there.

History: She was born in a small desert village. She was an apprentice working in her father's forge. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature dagger.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and she desires to right it

Personality: She is a jovial happy person, but she is convinced people are living their lives too quickly. She is underhanded and not above using her wealth and body to get others to do her bidding.

History: Heir to a fortune, her parents put a great deal of effort into curing her disease. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.
