History: Born in the north to a Animal Trainer, Gunter learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. He helped his father out around the business and became quite the natural. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature sai.

Personality: She takes her job very seriously, in part because she fears she cannot get a new one. She disdains her fellow westerners, claiming they make her look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Avelina was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. At a young age she wooed the heart of her future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. He is a thrill seeker, he laughs at people and throws down challenges. He is highly competitive and combative.

History: A child with a great deal of music talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.
