Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He pushes his goals aggressively. He is also a coward if confronted.

History: Lance hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. Through the years after Lance was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Lance's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature quarterstaff.

Personality: While he is on the job, he is grim and serious. He understands how dangerous the world is and the need to stay safe. He has a cruel streak; something he gained from his previous mentor. He harbors resentment against his former mentor.

History: A powerful necromancer made him what he is. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and a rival would like him out of the picture

History: She was born in the east. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Ploughman. She's also a talented Servant, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: To end her boredom; and she'd like to take her coworkers down a peg
