History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Nicholas alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it

Personality: She considers herself the protector of her home. She feels this is her duty and calling. She has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: Millicent was raised in a hard working conservative environment. After coming to the age of reason, Millicent took it upon herself to study the divine arts in their entirety; because of this, she was labeled a dark omen and banished from her homeland. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Courier for hire.

Motivation: To protect her home; and she'd like to take her coworkers down a peg

He has dyed his greying black hair a little too much giving a sharp black color. His half smiles and gray eyes are beguiling and draw you in.

Personality: He is intelligent and cunning, but he will too often allow his rage to get the better of him. He will lose his cool and rely on brute force to carry the day. He takes great joy in being the best Sage in town.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. He leaves a trail of broken hearts and full pockets wherever he goes.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and he uses money and sex appeal to get what he needs

Personality: He is shy and timid. He has not had much interaction with people and is skittish around them. As long as the job gets done he does not care how it got done.

History: Diggory was born with his father's beautiful face. While he appears to be a normal Human, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Brewer and was forced into it by his family; and he is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally
