History: Mary was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her mother was employed at, doing general labor. Her family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. She saw this and took pride in her mother's willingness to do anything to win. She used her abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

Personality: She snorts whenever she laughs or is feeling confident. Jacoba enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for her love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: She got into the Ploughman business at a young age. In her 14th year, her parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Jacoba alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.
