History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Bertram was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His mother was a mechanic, and taught him how to fix just about anything. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Personality: He has a very dry and sarcastic sense of humor. He is not one for noise or eating so much, which is in direct contrast with his big mouthed big gutted partner. His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of illithids may trigger it at times.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Human conditions. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. In her 12th year, while out on a day-trip, she returned to find her hometown burning and destroyed. She found her mother impaled in their home, and her father beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: She's looking for her big break; and obtaining odd cultural human artifacts is her passion

Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. Randal enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Born in the west his family was never financially stable. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Apothecary.

Motivation: Further expansion of business; and to clean up the streets
