History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. He found a children's book about a Human Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: To reunite with his old friends; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.
