He was working during a period of war, and as one of the natives he lived in fear of joining the others in being slaughtered. He saw the brutality and swore off his fighting aspirations, taking his younger brother on his back after seeing his parents die, and fled the country. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Randal fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. She married young, but lost her spouse to giants. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by giants. Rohesia was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the giants.

Motivation: She wants revenge against giants; and many giants want her driven away

History: A child with a great deal of poetry talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. She inherited a moderately successful company from her father. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.
