She went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. She left for the west, certain she would find work there.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. Through the years after Theodoric was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Theodoric's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.
