Personality: Hugh wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Paladin, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Ploughman but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Hugh was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His father was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Hugh was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the dire rats.

Motivation: He feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world; and he doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes

Personality: She is enamored with her job. She loves it. She likes the challenge and she likes helping those less fortunate than her. She believes the world needs to unite to get rid of goblins once and for all.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. Her mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her mother was legitimate. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Butcher they were divorced and she won custody of their daughter. She worked as a Ploughman, and she later adopted a second daughter.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Ploughman and was forced into it by her family; and regain custody of her daughter

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Robert embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Healer hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and to share knowledge with the world
